Thank you for the donation to Po Kok Primary School. In the year of 2013-2014, we used the funding from Wong Leung Oi Charity Foundation to support students in two fields, which are Visual Arts and Music.
During the last school year, we held different cultural activities and competitions. For Visual Arts, we have selected students from senior classes to compete in different drawing competitions. In the visual arts examination, the 1st and 2nd position in each class received a $200 and $100 book coupon from your scholarship respectively. On 19th June 2014, they were also rewarded a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland for joining the “Disney Animation Magic” workshop. From the workshop, students were able to know how the animated characters are made and learnt how the process has evolved over time.
In the field of music, the choir team competed in a Folk Song Competition on 16th November 2013 and they got your sponsorship for transportation. The first two positions in each class from music examination received a $200 and $100 book coupon from your scholarship respectively. They were also rewarded a trip to Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to enjoy a concert from Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra on 22nd June 2014.The usage of funding in 2013 -2014 included the scholarship for the 1st and 2nd position in visual arts and music examination, transportation fees, entry fees and admission fees.
